I remember when I was 18 and thinking that I could not even fathom living in years starting with 20.. and here it is 2014! And, you know, it still kind of boggles my mind.
I am hoping and praying that 2014 is going to be a much better year than 2013. It was such a sucky year that we aren't even going to discuss it or think about it. Upward and onward!
I hope this year will bring me more time to be set aside to piece and quilt for myself. Last year, I had chosen BALANCE as my word for the year...turns outs it should have been CHAOS.
I hope this year will bring more stability, more time with family, more time for blogging, more time for creating. I know that the time is there...I just need to manage it better.
I did get a very special wool project done over Christmas and placed on a very special hanger gifted to me by my sweet friend Connie. I absolutely fell in love with this project and the hanger when I saw it in the quilt shop. Rarely does something call my name so loudly that I can't get it out of my head because I want it so badly. Now it's finished and I just love love love it :)
This is a Jan. block from Lilyanna Stitches.com. It measures 7" x 8". The frame is a new mini size from Auckfield.
I added some extra stitches on his belly and jacket and an extra snowflake button on his hat. Can't wait to make a February one which I think I will design myself.
So, here's to a new year full of wonderful possibilities!
God Bless and Hugs, Shelley
