Let's Be Honest Here...

The truth is....it's summer and it's hot!!! We are in this heat wave and it's literally sucking the life right outa me! LOL! The computer is in the hottest room of the house..no fan, no conditioner...which makes a great room in the winter but horrible in the summer. My sewing room is in the basement and stays pretty cool. The pool lets me cool off a couple times a day but living in your swimsuit is definitely called for along with a stack of old movies to pass the time when it's too hot to do anything but sit and melt. Did I mention it's summer??? :) The reason I ask, is I want everyone to know that I am not deliberately neglecting my blogging...it's the heats' fault! And, I don't do heat very well...by day 3, I am nauseous and a whole bunch of other yucky things we won't mention! So, please bear with me my blogging friends, don't abandon me!! I am hoping to get the computer moved to the basement for the summer but it'll probably take a week. I'll blog when I can. Quilty Hugs to you all!:)

Shelley, I hope you just relax and do whatever it takes to stay cool. We're in the same heatwave with humidity and, just to make it totally miserable, smog.

That's why down here in the Deep South, EVERYTHING is air-conditioned! We go from the air-conditioned house to the air-conditioned car to the air-conditioned store...or doctor's office.....or church....or school. It's just really bad when you have a nice garden and need to water it everyday. Or you work out in it like one of my sons do.

So I take it you're not sitting under a nice big quilt putting on the bindinig or anything ... it is always cooler down here in Quispamsis where we are, but I think even we are going to roast over the next few days with temps up in the thirties. Stay cool!

I feel for you. We had temps in the 100's this week. It will only be in the mid 80's this weekend with a chance of thunderstorms. I'm hoping the rain breaks the heat. Try and stay cool.
