Wooly Projects

I think I hit a sore spot with some people earlier this week by bringing up the topic of Christmas so soon:) LOL!  Oh, well....I don't like to be rushed at Christmas time so I start early...I want to be able to enjoy the month of December not be running around getting all stressed out!  This is the time I start making my lists for shopping and cooking, special projects to make and parties to plan.

This week, I have been working extra hours at the shop, so work on projects has been slower.  I chose some wool stuff as they are easier to pick up and set aside when I get too tired.

I love snowmen!  Sometime this season, I will show you my collection! I try to bring a new snowman into my house every year, not a real one of course!, but a "lasting" one.  I have had this pattern for a snowman penny rug for several years and figured I'd better get off my butt and make it!  Here is what I have done so far...
Looks kind of funny without eyes, doesn't he! Do you collect snowmen?

And, I made this cute wool stocking...it's not very big..only about 9" x 3" but it works great on a doorknob!  I even found some antique red buttons in my stash for the berries.
Happy Stitching!

Cute! Snowmen are the theme in my house. I, too, try to bring at least one new one in a year. Haven't found the one I want yet for this year.
