Snowbound in July!

I wish! Snow would be nice right now or even weather that didn't include high humidity!

It's a really good thing I enjoy hand projects because they have become the substance of my quilting life lately....a way to keep my hands and mind busy when it's really hot. And believe me, it's better that my mind be kept busy! LOL! I still have buttons to add to this little snowman but that will wait until after quilting.

Last Wednesday was Girl's Night at my house and I really can't say we accomplished much more than sitting in front of the fan and sipping Mojitos and ice tea. Darcy, she's such a sweetie, was gifted by Janet with this lovely bag made from recycled wool clothing and upholstery samples. See that smile! She likes it! LOL! :)

Plans for today......tracing some hearts with templates onto homespun plaids that I've had forever so that I can cut them out tonight and start hand turning under the edges; some work, hopefully, on a Schnibbles; and preparing a queen size quilt for binding. Happy quilting all!

Oh no! I need some cold weather before heading north in a few days. Snow would be welcome as it's HOT and HUMID in VA!

Super super cute. It is fun to think of Christmas and snow when it is so hot. Makes you kind of appreciate the heat.
