Surviving the Heat

Land sakes alive, it's HOT!  finding some relief in the pool, mostly in the basement with the fan running.  Bra's are optional in this kind of heat, didn't you know lol!  Had to break down and put the air conditioner in the quilting room....I toughed it out until mid-summer without plugging that energy sucking monster in but even I know when I've lost the battle.  Spent one day down this week with a migraine from the heat, so when it's making you sick, what's the point, right?

I am so proud to say that I have finished last months Harry and Hannah on time and ready to start the new one.  That's about ALL the sewing I did myself in the last month...here a  little whine in there lol!
I left the words off of mine and I have some carrot buttons i will put on after it is quilted.

Quilted some very pretty quilts the past few weeks..here's a little peeky..

Fred has arrived at his destination safely :)  I'm told he's been entertaining and behaving himself lol!

Happy Stitching and God Bless!

great quilts and cute applique. I have AC on in the whole house, ceiling fans in my quilt room and a portable fan... doesn't help that I'm carrying over 20lbs more than normal- 5 wks to go.... in the HEAT!

I hear you, this heat is killing me, even with air conditioner. It looks like you got some wonderful pieces done though.

Looks like we picked the perfect two weeks to head to the southern hemisphere. We've been having lovely kiwi winter weather in the 10-16 Click range.

I haven't done any stitching in three weeks now and have been feeling twinges to get knitting for a few days now. Another week.

I'm beginning to hate summer. This heat is brutal, even with the breeze off the bay.

Great job on those quilts, Shelley.

Where exactly did Fred go for his vacation and when will he be coming back?

This summer has really been toasty and oh yeah..I whip that bra off as soon as I settle in for tv in the eve so that just cracked me up!
Fred has lots of work here!

Lovely quilts, but my favourite would have to be the brown quilt with birds on.

Perhaps we should swap our weather? Over here it's done almost nothing but rain all summer. All spring too, come to think of it, apart from about 10 days somewhere back in April when it was glorious.

Your wool project is adorable!

I live in Florida and our summer is quite extended. I don't do well in the heat so where most people look forward to summer, it's the winter I'm anxious to have arrive. I'm so sorry to hear the heat is making you sick and I hope you're staying cool!
