Time for a Giveaway!

Well, blogging wise, it's been a good week for me :) I've managed to post a couple times and did read a few blogs too.  When I think back, I got a lot accomplished with quilting, altering two dresses for my niece, hosting girls night, getting photos downloaded and processed, finished blocks for my new quilt and had a birthday!  Whew!  This is my beautiful niece all dressed up for her Junior Prom last night!

After a week like that, I think it's time for a giveaway!!
First,  there's this Amish flimsy, wallhanging size....a new project but one that I quickly lost interest in and I'm not going to let it languish around waiting for "someday".  It might as well be loved and finished by someone else lol!
Second, I have this brand new book.
Here's one of the quilts from the inside.
So, to ENTER THE GIVEAWAY:

1. Leave me a comment telling me what you have on your agenda for the month of June.  Any comment not telling me this will not work :(
2.  The giveaway is open until June 30, 2012.
3. One person will win the flimsy, one person will win the book:)
4. OPEN TO U.S. AND CANADA ONLY, sorry as shipping international is too high.

Finally, oh Michelle will be so proud of me lol!! I finished last month's block before the new one came out!
Happy stitching and God Bless!

What's in store for June - finishing a quilt for a family member, making some comfort quilt tops for the Tuesday Quilters and maybe, just maybe if I'm a good girl, I'll get to go to the Vermont Quilt Show at the end of the month. Thanks for the giveaway. ttyl Marilyn

My goal for the next two weeks in June is to finish handquilting an applique quilt that has been kicking around for far too long. I have some freemotion quilting I want to do to finish a few small wall quilts and I hope to get a trip to Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. Thanks for having a great giveaway.

June is my finish as much as I can month. So far 3 quilts finished. I am dragging 2 more out that are more than half done in a little while and getting going on one of them. I just have to finish cutting the pieces for the next thing that I'm piecing when I get bored trying to finish the other two. :D

I decided that this summer is for finishing things so we have some new quilts to sleep under this winter. Last year I only finished 3 things total, so time to get it in gear around here!! :D

I don't have much planned for june, other than to hang around and watch the kids in the pool, I'm taking it easy since I only have 2 months left until my due date. I'm always catching up on quilt projects, just going a lot slower with the kiddos at home. next friday I'm going to a sewing/quilt expo so that should be fun!

I'm hoping to finish up a quilt to take to my sister when I see her the first week of July. She lives in Australia so it would be great to send a quilt home with her.

For the month of June I have some fun plans ahead...
1. I plan to pin and (hopefully) quilt 3 of my WIPS!
2. I plan to add binding to 3 of my other WIPS. I do not dare plan to pin, quilt, AND bind the same 3 Quilts. That would just be too much!
LOL I also am planning a "Staycation" with my hubby and kids. We live in FL and so we are planning one day at the beach, one day at Kennedy Space Center, and one day at Animal Kingdom. I love that we will get to sleep in our own beds every night! LOL
Thanks for doing a giveaway, sorry my post is so long. Hugs, Lisa

Ill be making sandwiches for the rest of June - quilt sandwiches that is. Several dolly quilts for grandnieces and a queen sized Japanese fan quilt. I'm in PT for a back injury, so must be careful with how I do this. Wish me luck! Thanks for the giveaway.

Great little quilt! It would be loved here. Well, so far I have had a garage sale, attended the Minnesota Quilters show, and now we are in baseball tournament season. That takes care of June!

June Quilting List: Finish Dresden lap quilt and coordinating throw pillow for my church's auction. Prepare for a 12 minute tip on I'm giving on working with invisible nylon thread for my Modern Quilt Guild. Knock off some more scrap management rolls (i.e., sew same color scraps into 'jelly rolls' of 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 inch rolls to use in funcky projects). ORGANIZE my quilt room;-)

We just came back from a working month in Austria. That takes care of half the month :) Now I am having to deal with a month of neglect around the here including some quality time with our kittens. I have managed to get some more work done on a flimsy that didn't have a home to get to before this trip but now as a thank you to our hosts, this and four more quilts must be made! I love to quilt!

My goal for june has been accomplished. A friend wanted help shopping for fabric for her first quilt. We did this last week. she also bought an extra piece of a multi coloured fabric that she can use to practice getting an accurate seam allowance. Looking forward to getting together with her so she can get cutting then sewing.

I'm doing lots of organizing in my sewing room this month. I also have some BOM's that I need to get caught up on, so that's what I have planned. Anything that keeps me inside out of this horrible Texas heat works for me! Thanks for the chance. :0)

June is really hot and dry this year. So, my main goal is keeping the plants alive outside. It's especially hard since we have a well and water is precious.
Next is keeping myself alive by sitting in front of the fan working on my wall hanging. I'm trying to finish it before the family reunion in July. Trying to tidy up for that as well. June, it's a month to get ready for July! :)
