It was my birthday on the weekend. Yeah, do you hear the lack of excitement?? I'm getting older, it sucks, and approaching that age when they say everything from there is downhillThe question is..."Do you buy into that theory?"

Yes, my body aches more on rainy days, I can't stay up past midnight anymore and still jump out of bed on 5 hours sleep, but is everything really going to go downhill???   Just when I finally have reached a time in my life where I can pretty much do what I want, when I want, and how I want, am I suddenly going to lose all that just by getting older?  What do you all think?

I love my Mother's embroidery work! She recently did me a pair of pillowcases to match the quilt over my bed...aren't they gorgeous!
I, also, made a pair of pillowcases for a friend's birthday.  They are so easy to make and I just use directions from Allpeoplequilt.com.
Blogger is not playing nice today with loading photos!! I have more but I have to go play with Grace :)

Happy Stitching!

Happy Birthday! If you can still 'jump out of bed', I wouldn't worry about getting older. :-) Lovely embroidery and pillowcases.

Happy, happy birthday, Shellie! I see you enjoy having your picture taken as much as I do. NOT! LOL

It's not all down hill, although, some days it does feel like it is. LOL

Beautiful embroidery on the pillow cases.

Happy birthday. Having reached that point myself where everything looks "downhill from here", I'm trying hard to keep my attitude young. Creativity helps!

Happy Birthday Shellie!! I used to think the same thing, until I realized what the alternative is :-) I LOVE the embroidery your Mom did. It's gorgeous. And where did you find the directions for the pillow cases on APQ?? Link?

Omg I am so embarrassed to have missed your day! I haven't looked at my blog friend calendar in ages and need to as no telling who else I may have blown off without even realizing it! Your gift will be sent late apparently. Lol

Hi Shelley, I have found the secret to no longer aging. 10 years ago we flew to New Zealand. That involves crossing the international date line and loosing a day. it so happened that the missed day would have been my 40th birthday. Alas, it never happened. So I guess I didn't turn 40. Well, as coincidence would happen, we flew to New Zealand again 5 years later. Only flight we could get meant the missed day would once again be my birthday. So I didn't turn 45 either. do you see a trend here. Still waiting to turn 40, ten years later.
