Bits and Bites

Hi Everyone! It's been a very busy few weeks since I last posted and I have a few "bits and bites" of things to share. A lot of stuff that just wouldn't all fit under a specific title:)

First, some nice show & tell!  These are some customer quilts from the past weeks. I love them all :)

This quilt below is one of my oldest UFO's....from 1999-2000.  Yes, I have ones older than that lol! We had just bought our first computer and I was so excited to join online quilters.  Back then, all we had were forums and yahoo groups.  I joined a Canadian group called the Canadianquiltswappers.  We were an online guild and we had a pin and everything! Oh, what fun it was to talk and share and do swaps.  This quilt is the result of one of the largest swaps I did, called the Birthday Club Swap.  In my birthday month of June, I received 11 squishies, 12" blocks, from all over Canada.  There were 12 of us in the swap and each month, one person got birthday blocks.  Now it's finally quilted, by me, with my Grace, and all bound!  I love looking at it and remembering all my online friends.  I don't belong to that group anymore and not sure if it even still exists.
And, here are my Hannah and Harrington blocks for March and April.
I love red with white polka dots so I changed my umbrella a little.  I would love to have an umbrella that looks like this but have never seen one and when would I ever use it, cause it's not like I spend a lot of time walking in the rain and if I do, I like to feel the rain on my face :) I added a few dandelions to the grass as we have those starting this time of year!

A little update on Mr. RQ.  Good news first...all the cancer from his neck up that he received treatment for last year is still completely gone, Praise the Lord!  Bad news....the PET shows a lesion the size of my pinky fingernail on the middle right lobe in his lungs.  We are having day surgery tomorrow so that they can do a needle biopsy.  We are not sure what it is but praying and holding faith in that it is just scar tissue from the pneumonia he had for so long this winter.  We should know by next week what it is.  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Happy Stitching and God Bless!

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Here we are hoping that my dad's new treatment will be effective.

I still have sets of blocks from MapleLeaf that I have yet to set into quilts. One of these days.... Fortunately, quilt blocks don't go bad. hee hee

Thanks for sharing your eye candy! I love the quilts! So..do you do long arm quilting then? Is that the customers quilts that you were referring to?
I just said a prayer for you and your husband. I earnestly hope that it is scar tissue.

Sending light and love that all will be perfect and healthy for Mr. RQ tomorrow.
Loooooove how you made your HandH blocks all your own. Makes me smile big.
