M I B A

Hey everyone!  How y'all been? A big ole hug to all my new followers! I know...I know..I've been M I B A(missing in blog action) from blogland for way too long.  I am so hoping that the last half of October will be have a much slower schedule than the first half! LOL!  It really has been a big adjustment for me coming to terms with the fact that my life has become so "scheduled".  I really thought I was at a point in my life that things would be slowing down, that I could "relax" into a calmer routine...LOLOL...it just hasn't worked out that way.  I have to say I am busier now that when my kids were younger and required more time and care.  My oldest has been out on his own for 3 three  years now and my youngest is attending the local college.  I don't have to get anyone up but myself, no more packing lunches, doing homework, barrel loads of clothes or school functions to tend to.....all the things that used to fill my hours. Somehow, darn it, new adventures have silently crept into my life and I have new goals and dreams to reach for.  Now, I need to find that happy medium that will return some balance to my life. I need to recharge my batteries!  One thing that I absolutely hate is that this old body can't do the same amount of stuff in a day that it used to. LOL! It's just NOT FAIR!  As they say, the old gray mare...she just ain't what she used to be LOL!

I just can't seem to make that treadmill move as fast anymore.....so I guess that means I have to cut down my "want to do list"....and I think that sucks because I want to do it ALL!!  I've never been a person who does "limits".  I've always done as much as I can in everything!  (I think in some silly book somewhere they would label this "overachiever" and Type A personality disorder) LOL!  Ssssoooo.....what to do.....??? I not sure what I will do just exactly and isn't that kind of exciting?!  Here I am, middle-aged body, young at heart, in mind and soul, embarking on a new journey of exploration of ME!  I hope you will all continue to join me on this excursion and exploration....It will soon be time to draw a winner for the giveaway...that's going to fun and hard--I want you all to win!  As the song goes..."if I had a million dollars>>>:) Happy Stitching!

PS..while browsing tonight I found this really interesting article about
Women's Wellness and I thought I'd pass it on to you :)

Here you are and girl...can I ever relate to your post! So much I want to do and only so much I can do. We do what we can I guess.

I've got my own drummer, so I can stop worrying about keeping up. I fence and can't compete on speed with the younguns, so I have to learn to be tricky and beat them that way. You'll find ways to do whatever it is that you want to even if it's different than the others.

I know that feeling, too many things to experience and do and not enough energy. I find getting outside for walks helps raise my energy, but getting colder now.

There are just not enough hours in the day or days in the week. I try to prioritize but it never seems to work because, I too, want to do it all! If you get it figured out, let me know the secret.

I often think with another 18 hours a day I could accomplish so much more as I, like you, want to do it all!! If only sleeping and eating weren't necessary! Think of all the added hours that would give us! :-)
