I LOVE this QUILT!

Wow, what a storm that was!  A regular old Nor'easter except it came from the Southeast...go figure!  Our gazebo died as a result :(  the wind literally crumpled the metal bracings.  Very sad....I love my gazebo and we spend a tremendous amount of time in it from May to October.  And wouldn't you know, the clearance sale on those things was a couple of weeks ago! LOL!

If you haven't seen this book yet, then you have to run out and check it out!  I love it!  I want to make every single pattern in it!  It's called Tis the Season by Shelley Wicks and Jeanne Large from Martingale Company.  My heart twitterpated (new word from Kim's Big Quilting Adventure-thanks Kim!) when I saw the cover quilt.

And, in my spare moments the past two weeks, I whipped it up LOL!

I LOVE THIS QUILT!  It's so merry and bright..almost like a Christmas song! LOLO!  The applique is all fusible so it wasn't a hard quilt to do.  I can't wait to get it quilted and up on the wall for December!

I think I've reached the limit for fall pincushions.  I made 10 total with a fall theme and I think I will take a break from them but I definitely see some snowmen and snowflake ones in the future :)
The bottom pumpkin one is a free pattern from the Falloween blog hop a week ago...not sure which designer, darn it, but I loved making it! And I only have 4 pincushions left.  Some one asked me why I use so many pincushions...well, I don't really use them all as pincushions.  I use them as decorative accents in my home.  They sit nicely next to something else and bring a warm cozy feeling to my rooms.  And something about wool just makes people want to pick them up and touch them!  A tactile treat for the senses!

I can't believe no one has contacted me yet to tell me I won something in the Fall into Fall giveaways! LOL! I, mean, I entered so many of them!  Just kidding!   Happy Stitching!

Love, love, love that quilt!! What a great Christmas quilt!
Sorry about your gazebo -- we kept hearing about the weather bomb that was about to hit the east coast.

Oh man, are those little stockings just the coolest thing!? I'm not much of a Christmas quilt person per se (everything in my house is already red and green! LOL), but I really, really like that one!! :-) and the Pumpkins are so wonderful!! I keep resisting wool projects, then I see your pincushions and just sigh! :-D You'll make me a "wool-ite" yet! LOL
Blessings,
Mary Lou

I've seen that quilt made up and it's fantastic and yours looks great. I love pincushions as well and don't really use them. I'm almost finished the pins and needles pumpkin.

Cute and fun quilt. Love that! And those pincushions are just great and I really like the idea of tucking them in here and there as decoration. Good idea! I have a wool stash in need of a few projects, guess I should follow along with some of the blog hops, too. :-D

Hello, very nice pincushions!
I think the free pattern for the "long" pumpkin one is here:
